This past week, we wrote about one of our pictures from the packet. Michelle Magorian’s novel Goodnight Mister Tom is a moving tale of an eight-year-old boy, William Beech who is evacuated from London’s Deptford area to go and live in a village called Little Weirwold shortly before the Second World War breaks out.

After learning about a fabulous site where you can purchase photographs to use, I knew that I wanted to come up with a writing unit where students could tell and write about real pictures.
